NMIMS-NPAT (Undergraduate Management/Commerce) 

The NMIMS-NPAT is the most common entrance for students coming out of Class 12 seeking business degrees. 

 

  • Format: Online Computer-Based Test (CBT) featuring 120 Multiple Choice Questions to be answered in 100 minutes.
  • Pattern: Consists of three sections with 40 questions each:
    • Quantitative Reasoning: Arithmetic, Algebra, Geometry, and Statistics.
    • Logical Reasoning: Critical Thinking, Data Interpretation, and Puzzles.
    • Verbal Reasoning: Grammar, Reading Comprehension, and Vocabulary.
  • Marking: +1 for every correct answer; no negative marking.
  • Eligibility: Generally requires a minimum of 50%–60% aggregate in Class 12, with Mathematics or Statistics being mandatory for most commerce and economics courses. 

     

NMIMS-CET (Engineering & Pharmacy)

The NMIMS-CET is specific to technical and pharmaceutical programs. 

 

  • Format: 120 MCQs in 2 hours.
  • Structure: Includes Physics (30), Chemistry (30), Maths/Biology (30), Logical Intelligence (20), and Verbal Reasoning (10).
  • Campus Options: Scores are accepted at Mumbai, Navi Mumbai, Indore, Hyderabad, Chandigarh, and Shirpur campuses. 

     

Key Dates & Process (2026 Cycle)

  • Registration Window: Typically runs from late January to late May.
  • Exam Window: Conducted between February and May.
  • Attempts: Candidates are usually allowed one main attempt and up to two retakes, with the highest score used for the merit list.
  • Registration: Done exclusively through the official NMIMS portal. Fees start at roughly ₹2,000 for one program and increase with added school preferences.
