The PERA CET (Preeminent Education and Research Association Common Entrance Test) is a state-level entrance exam conducted for admission into various undergraduate (UG) and postgraduate (PG) professional programs across private universities in Maharashtra. 

Key Exam Details

• Purpose: Provides a unified platform for admission to member private universities in Maharashtra.
• Programs Covered: Includes Engineering (B.Tech/M.Tech), Management (MBA), Pharmacy, Hotel Management, Law, Fine Arts, and Design.
• Mode of Exam: Conducted as an Online Remote Proctored test (taken from home) or at designated CBT centers.
• Question Format: Objective Multiple-Choice Questions (MCQs).
• Negative Marking: There is no negative marking for any of the exams.
• Application Fee: ₹1,500 for all categories (non-refundable). 

  Eligibility and Syllabus

• UG Courses: Based on the 12th standard curriculum.
• PG Courses: Based on the respective degree-level syllabus.
• Course-Specific Focus:
  • Engineering: Tests Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics.
  • Management (MBA): Follows a CAT-like pattern, including Quantitative Aptitude, Logical Reasoning, and English.
  • BFA/Design: Includes a Drawing and Creativity test.

  Admission Timeline (Typical)

• Registration: Usually open between January and May.
• Exam Date: Generally conducted in multiple phases between May and July.
• Results: Typically released a few weeks after the examination.
