The Birla Institute of Technology and Science Admission Test (BITSAT) is a national-level, computer-based entrance exam for admission to integrated first-degree programs at the BITS Pilani campuses in Pilani, Goa, and Hyderabad. It is the sole gateway for merit-based admission to B.E., B.Pharm., and M.Sc. programs at these prestigious institutions. 

 

Key Exam Details (BITSAT 2026)

• Mode: Fully online computer-based test (CBT).
• Duration: 3 hours.
• Medium: English.
• Frequency: Conducted in two sessions annually (typically April–May).
• Attempts: Candidates can appear for one or both sessions in a single year.

The test consists of 130 multiple-choice questions divided into four parts:

• Bonus Questions: Candidates who answer all 130 questions before time expires can attempt 12 additional "bonus" questions (4 each in Physics, Chemistry, and Math/Biology) to boost their score. 

   

Eligibility Criteria

• Education: Candidates must have passed the 12th-grade examination from a recognized board.
• Subjects: Proficiency in Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics (PCM) is required for most programs; B.Pharm. applicants can have Biology (PCB).
• Minimum Marks: A minimum of 75% aggregate in PCM/PCB, with at least 60% in each individual subject.
• Direct Admission: First-rank holders (toppers) of all central and state boards in India are offered direct admission to the program of their choice, regardless of their BITSAT score.

Based on Vedantu's 2026 details, fees vary by category and session: 

• Male Candidates (India/Nepal): ₹3,600 (one session) / ₹5,600 (both).
• Female/Transgender Candidates: ₹3,100 (one session) / ₹4,600 (both).
• Dubai Center: ₹7,250 (one session) / ₹9,250 (both)
