BAMS full form in medical is Bachelor of Ayurvedic Medicine and Surgery. BAMS course is a Five years and Six Months UG degree program in India focused on Ayurveda, the traditional system of medicine native to the Indian subcontinent. BAMS course combines both traditional Ayurvedic principles and modern medical science, providing students with a comprehensive understanding of healthcare. BAMS course graduates are trained in various aspects of Ayurveda, including herbal medicine, surgery, anatomy, and physiology, enabling them to practice as Ayurvedic doctors and contribute to holistic health and wellness.

It is an undergraduate program, designed for students, who want to build a career around Ayurveda and its usage in the cure, treatment, and analysis of health and its ailments. The course of BAMS is divided into 3 sections, each section is taught for 1.5 years, and the sections are:
a. The first year - The syllabus contains the history of Ayurveda, anatomy, physiology, and Sanskrit. Each paper has a total of 100 marks, and the students have to score a minimum of 50% on tota, to pass.
b. The second year- The syllabus contains pharmacology and toxicology, more specifically - Rog Nidan, Ras Shastra, Bhaishajaiya Kalpana, Drvavya Gunn, and Charak Samhita Purvad.
c. The third year - The syllabus entails Roga Nidana, Swasthavritta, Prasuti Tantra Evum Stree Roga, Kaumarbhritya Parichaya, and Charak Samhita.

Once the students have completed their BAMS from a reputed college, they can work in various fields like nursing, healthcare, pharmaceuticals, life science, medical tourism, insurance, and education, and their employment locations can be hospitals, ayurvedic resorts, dispensaries, panchakarma ashrams, dispensaries, clinical research, and ayurvedic spa centers. BHMS or Bachelor of Homeopathic Medicine and Surgery is an undergraduate academic degree course which covers medical knowledge of the homeopathic system. BHMS Application Process
The sole gateway to get admission in any of the medical courses, including BHMS, is the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET). Students need to pass 10+2 with 50 per cent marks in aggregate in Physics, Chemistry and Biology along with a minimum pass in each individual subject. The candidates must also have studied English as a core subject. BHMS admission process includes filling of the application form, issuing of admit card, appearing for the entrance exam, declaration of results and counselling process.
BDS full form in medical is Bachelor of Dental Surgery. The BDS course duration is a 5 - year UG program that equips students with the knowledge and skills necessary to practice dentistry. The BDS course includes both theoretical and practical training where students study subjects such as dental anatomy, oral pathology, periodontology, orthodontics, and prosthodontics. BDS course also involves clinical practice, where students gain hands-on experience in diagnosing and treating dental issues under supervision.
